About Glenn
Glenn Edward Porter III, was the victim of a tragic automobile accident while on the way to vacation in Delaware. At the time of the accident, Glenn had just graduated to become a police officer and accepted a full-time position with a local police department, California Borough. He was eager to start his career in law enforcement following in the footsteps of many of his family members.

Our scholarships will help individuals have the chance to develop confidence, responsibility, and additional skills needed to become successful in their future and achieve their dreams. Our foundation will help accomplish this by helping to further the education of individuals looking to achieve the same or comparable goals as Glenn.

The Glenn Edward Porter III Scholarship Foundation was created to assist graduates who share Glenn's desire to serve his community and to keep his dream alive.
Our scholarships will be awarded to students gaining an education to become a law enforcement officer, a paramedic, an EMT, a nurse, a firefighter, or any other rewarding career that allows one to help others in need.
2nd Annual GEP3 Golf Outing
Registration is Now Open
Our 2nd Glenn Edward Porter III Annual Memorial Golf Outing will be held on Monday, June 9th, 2025, at Nemacolin Country Club. Participation costs $150.00 per person. This year, there will be an 8 a.m. and a 2 p.m. tee time. The sign-up deadline is May 31st, 2025.

Congratulations to Richard Henderson our IUP Academy Scholarship Recipient!
Thank you to IUP Police Academy for hosting us Friday to hand out the last of this years scholarships! Congratulations to Richard Henderson for being the recipient of the 2024 GEP3 $3000 scholarship for completing his act 120 certification!!! That closes out this year scholarships with a total of $8000 awarded to 6 individuals thanks to all of you!!!!

Congratulations to the first group of Charleroi Area High School Seniors to each receive a $500 GEP3 Scholarship! It was such a nice experience being part of Salute to Scholars! Congratulations to Sofia Celaschi, McKenna DeUnger, Aiden Jackson, and Madalynn Lancy!
