Glenn Edward Porter III, 20, of Fallowfield Twp., passed away tragically on Saturday, June 24, 2023, as a result of an automobile accident. He was born on August 29, 2002. He was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish and was an avid outdoorsman and golfer. Glenn was a huge Steelers fan and enjoyed riding the 10th St bus to the games. He played football from flag through high school and was a 3-year letterman for Charleroi Area High School. Glenn was a member of Charleroi's Homecoming Court and Prom Court.
Glenn had such a positive impact on everyone around him. He was always pushing himself to do his absolute best. He achieved this through his excellent work ethic, ability to overcome adversity, and the simple fact that, without even trying, he made people smile, just by being his goofy self. Glenn graduated from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Criminal Justice Training Center on June 9th, 2023. He had accepted a position as an officer for the California Borough Police Department. He was an all-around nice kid who will sorely be missed by many.
Glenn enjoyed anything outdoors. He could typically be found in the woods, near a stream, on a golf course, or playing Football. But mostly he loved spending time with people he cared about and his dogs. Surviving to cherish his memory are his father Eric, mother Laurie, and younger brother Tyler as well as a ton of extended family and friends.
